My scale was delivered just 5 days ago, but it is greatly exceeding my expectations. It is both very precise and very accurate - and I have had no trouble using it even though it came with no directions that I could find.

First, to get accurate and consistent weights, you must use it on a hard surface, NOT on a rug, NOT on a towel or cloth of any kind. I use it on a dresser top.

Second, I've been able to control the units it uses by selecting them while the scale is initializing. It starts by testing the LCD display by showing all "8"s and LB/OZ/KG. Just press the ON button once to use KG and once again to get it to display LB/OZ.

Finally, as an engineer, accuracy is a big thing for me - and I have found it to be consistently accurate within 1.2 ounces. With a calibrated 10 LB 1.6 OZ weight, I find it never measures lower than 10 LB 1.5 OZ or higher than 10 LB 2.5 OZ. A calibrated 5 LB 4.7 OZ weight never measures lower than 5 LB 4.5 OZ or higher...Read more

I am breastfeeding my daughter. I purchased this scale to measure how much my daughter takes each time.

First of all, the accuracy is only 10g. It is not for newborns who take less than 1 oz..

It is a pity the manufacturer doesn't include a manual. However, with some patience, you would find out this scale is easy to use with good accuracy.

1, Use On hard surface. This should be common sense for any scale.
2, Auto zero. After start up, the scale will do auto zero. Wait until you see all zero in the display
3, Memory. After each start up, the scale will display the previous result.
4, unit conversion. After start up and before the previou result shows up, double click the "ON" button. The unit will switch between "Kg" and "lb"

Using "Kg" will give you 10g accuracy while in the "lb" mode, the display has only 0.5 oz. resolution.

We have a six month old who was six weeks early and since our older daughter was always on the skinny side, we purchased this scale to keep track of both of their weights. I love the fact that the scale weighs in both grams and pounds - being in the NICU for 16 days got us used to weights in grams.

There is one thing that I didn't like about the scale - mine didn't come with any instructions. You would think that you wouldn't need any instructions with a scale, but we could never figure out how to get the scale to go from grams to pounds. The music button doesn't appear to do anything either - which I don't really care about, but I don't know if there's something I'm doing wrong or not since we have no instructions.

Overall, I was glad I purchased the scale - it has given my husband and I (along with my mom) some peace of mind about our daughters' weight.
