The product does take up very little space; however, I find it to be completely unsafe. The baby who isn't able to sit up unsupported should NOT be allowed to use this product. Even in the infant position, the child slides down and to the sides...the only solution is to have minimal water in the tub and just do a sponge bath. Even with minimal water, I had to constantly hold my child (3 months old) with one hand, which makes washing the baby very difficult. I returned the product to the store. I did not like it and I would not recommend it to other parents. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: By Reasonable mom (San Diego, CA United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: Summer Infant Fold-Away Baby Bath, Green (Baby Product) We received one as a gift for our first child two years ago. We love it so much, we just got another one for our second kid (only cause our first kid loves his tub so much that he still uses it). Reasons why we love it:
1. Easy to set up 2. Easy to store 3. Easy to clean 4. The inflated bottom keeps our kids bottoms from getting cold and is a nice cushion. 5. We don't waste water filling up the "big" tub 6. Can use it for infant on thru 2+ yrs. Our big boy doesn't get to lay down anymore, but he loves to sit in it. 7. Doesn't tip over. We have a very active boy, who LOVES to play and "swim" in his tub. 8. Easy to travel with. We don't have to set my kids' butts down in someone else's tub. One thing I will say that it is a bit challenging to get the joints from the main rim apart. It's good cause I don't want the tub to come apart when my kid is in it, but it does take some muscles to pop it apart when I want to store...Read more 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: This review is from: Summer Infant Fold-Away Baby Bath, Green (Baby Product) We placed this on our baby registry thinking the fold-away feature would save a lot of space and 'whats the big deal with a baby tub anyway?'. Well, there would be no big deal if the damn thing was at all functional in successfully bathing a baby and not flooding your counter top. Like others we found the legs unstable and flimsy. So right there you can forget about actually folding it and storing it because you either can't get the legs to fold down (like me) or you can but are afraid they'll snap right off in your hand (my husband). Then there's the slip n' slide quality of the rubber. Nice and soft - and absolutely dangerous. It's hard enough giving a squirmy baby a bath without the tub facilitating the squirming. Then there are the flaps that allow you to create an incline at either end. Great feature, except they didn't think it through. If it isn't secured up, creating the incline, there's no where to tuck the flap away. It just floats in the water, and in our case, the...Read more |
