Not for sensitive eyes...,
January 7, 2012 Kokopelli (Austin, TX) - See all my reviews
This review is from: SmartLash Eyelash Enhancer 0.16 oz. (Health and Beauty)
I am surprised at how many people like this product. First, it only enhances the APPEARANCE of lashes, not actual growth. Latisse, a prescription product, causes actual growth but it also has side effects. Second (and most important), SmartLash has oil in it and the oil manages to seep into your eyes no matter how carefully or sparingly you try to apply it. It's very irritating and doesn't wash out with eye drops. You just have to wait until enough time and tears have washed it away (about a day). I think it does actually make your lashes look better (not make them grow), but it's not worth getting the stuff in your eyes. Especially if you wear contacts (I don't, so that's not what made it hurt my eyes), I think it is not worth the irritation, redness, and tearing that it causes.
Definitely not recommended. But, if you still want to try it for yourself, don't buy it here. It's available for much cheaper elsewhere, as other commenters have said.

I HAVE LASHES!,

This review is from: SmartLash Eyelash Enhancer 0.16 oz. (Health and Beauty)
I am Asian and, in my opinion, most of us aren't blessed with long eyelashes. I've been using this product for 10 days and already I notice a huge difference. My lashes ARE longer - even in the corners. I have tried other over-the-counter lash products, except for Latisse because of its side effects, and none have worked like Smartlash! As far as price? Ladies, you need to go directly to dermstore.com and look up Smartlash - the price is $29.95 and you can choose auto-fill to lock in the price. Plus this product ships free. I don't understand why I keep seeing it all over the web for upwards of $70 or more. Maybe Dermstore is doing some kind of promotion? I don't know, but that's where I purchased my product. Good luck and happy lash hunting!
Update: Friends have told me going directly to dermstore.com shows the product for $100. Google "smartlash 29.95" and when the dermstore.com link appears, click on it and it will take you to the promotional $29.95 price.

I have tried other eyelash enhancement products in the past that worked great, but they left my eyelids looking slightly puffy and like I was wearing purple eyeliner. I know that seems strange and it didn't really bother me until my mom asked me when I started wearing purple eyeliner. So I stopped using it and decided to try SmartLash (because once your lashes get full and long you can't go back!). I have to say, I think SmartLash works just as well as the products I used in the past, but doesn't leave my eyes puffy with a purplish tint. I did a little research and think it might be the prostaglandin in the other products that was causing my eyelids to puff up and turn purple. Clearly, I'm a fan!
