Product Review

Our new use-specific Pocket Soaps contain 50 leaves of pure, dry soap so there’s no risk of leakage in your luggage or pack and no risk of having it confiscated by airport security. The easy-to-ration leaves means you’ll have plenty of soap to last your entire trip. Handy for travel or camping because they’re lightweight and compact. They’re also biodegradable so they won’t harm the environment.

This travel soap was pretty familiar to me as I had seen a friend use it when we were on a hiking trip last fall. It is obviously very portable, takes up basically no space and has a compact design. The soap itself lathers up well to make a good wash, but you may have to use 2 of the soap wafers. Make sure you bring a small razor if your intention is to shave while on the trail. Otherwise, it works well in Hotels too, and is better than carrying your own shaving gel or cream, because that can burst all over your bag or leak out of its can! All in all, this is a good buy, and a good price for something that will come in handy if ever you need to wash/shave on the trail! (or if your significant other makes you!)

Anyone genius enough to make these should have been smart enough to put them in a more rugged and WATERPROOF pack. I used these for five or so camp trips. Bought another (good thing they are cheap) and two trips later it went down the river with me. It was inside my pack, inside a trash bag and we didn't tip over (just standard splash). While camping on the river I brought them out to wash up and the multiple leaves I was expecting had become one blob. Nothing around them was wet (that I could feel), it was like they absorbed all the water before anything else could get exposed. I just use the hotel size shaving cream now to wash my hands when camping.

When I purchased this product I was hoping for a body wash I could take while traveling and not worry about the liquid restrictions from the TSA. When I got it home, I noticed something about the dispenser that would make it difficult to use in the shower. It couldn't be kept in the shower because multiple strips would be ruined if you tried to take a strip with wet hands. I tested out my suspicion and sure enough sever strips got wet when I tried to grab a 2nd strip with wet hands. If one strip would get you clean this wouldn't be an issue, but I'm guessing the average adult is going to need at least 5 - 6 strips to clean their entire body. However, if you need this to only wash your hands it would work perfectly. So if you only need to wash your hands, buy this product. If you want to use this to wash your entire body, you'll need to stick with normal soap.
