I bought this feeding system for my grandson. I was skeptical at first - but WOW! Before using this feeding system he would spit up over 1/2 of what he eat - BUT NO MORE! Great for crib, stroller, car seat, swing, bouncer, etc! As a nurse, I know of course, you are never supposed to lay a baby down with a bottle (it will leak/drip in their mouth while they are sleeping which can cause aspiration pneumonia); however this thing ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT LEAK. Like a straw that an adult would use - you have to suck on it to get anything out!

I see that some people are having problems with getting the liquid through the straw into the nipple - HERE IS THE SECRET - put your fingertip over the nipple outlet and then just pinch the bottom of the nipple a few times to "milk" the liquid up where it belongs. Of course, as baby grows or "plays" with the nipple he can let the air in. The solution - if baby is playing with the nipple then he really does not want the bottle in the first...Read more

This feeding kit works pretty well, with a few adjustments. You do have to prime the nipple (not difficult), but the system works better if you find a way to hang the bottle kind of like an IV - otherwise the baby seems to get more air and the nipple doesn't stay full. It's not exactly what we had hoped for, but it works well enough when you're trying to buy time to make dinner.

The baby seems to actually like it. She's typically a wiggly eater, but sits chilled out in her bouncer when using this bottle. Maybe it's because she feels she has control over it.

This Podee has been a godsend! It not only gives me a free hand or two when I need it, my 4 month old no longer has problems spitting up, not being able to finish her bottles only to be hungry 2 hours later and no more huge messes from formula leaking out the sides of her mouth that other bottles had caused. She loves it because it is easy for her eat quickly, to grab and put back in her mouth. No fussing at all in the middle of the night feedings. She eats quickly and falls right back to sleep with it. Regular bottles seemed to be a chore compared to the Podee system. Yes, there are extra parts to clean but it is worth it. I used my own bottle sets for the kit (Playtex Ventair regular)> Though the Podee kit says to only use their nipples, the Playtex Ventair nipples are the exact same ones. I give this 5 stars because IT makes things much easier on Parents and Babies. I plan on buying more so I don't have to clean so often.
