For a cheap pack of 500 rubber bands it does the job... but you can't use them more than 2 or 3 times each... so I will have to purchase more rubber bands at some point if I use it on my hair a lot. They're fairly easy to break... now this may be because I have thick hair, so for girls who have thick hair I'd say to stay away from this purchase if you're looking for a better quality band since our thick hair does not like to stay tied up sometimes. I also don't like that when I put my hair in these bands sometimes they pull at my hair, or when you twist the bands to go for the third for fourth time around your hair, they don't lay together, so sometimes my hair will end up looking bent out of shape in an S curve type look because half of the band is holding my hair in a different place than the other half of the band. Overall not a good purchase for hair, if you're using it for something else it might work better.

I know other customers seem dissatisfied with these little rubber bands; however, they are designed to be snag-free and for that purpose they work quite well. I have used typical small black rubber bands,which are stronger, but they tend to pull out hair when removing them. These rubber bands will rarely snag or pull hair out. What will typically happen is they will simply break with little effort. So for use on a baby's or small child's hair and with tender-headed folks these do the job. I should mention that these are indeed thinner and less durable when compared to a lot of other small bands; however, these have a particular purpose that is to be snag-free. Honestly, I do wish they were a little stronger. I find that when using some types of hair grease or leave-in conditioners and in warmer conditions, they tend to break more quickly. I got these rubber bands and they were a little thinner than what I thought for the job, but sometimes they work and sometimes they didn't just depends on what you are using them for. Good product for the usage.
