Summary: works so much better than the bulb 2010-07-12
Comment: This product works great. The only design flaw is that the hard plastic tube does not stay connected to the tubing adapter.

Summary: Snotsucking at its finest 2010-06-29
Comment: I never had much luck using the standard bulb aspirator, and after my baby got his first case of the sneezes/snots, I picked up a Nosefrida, based upon recommendations from various sources. Actually, I got two--one for me and one for a friend due with her first.
I LOVE it. My husband harasses me over my affinity for this thing! Such a simple concept, but it works so much better to extract and capture those elusive or plentiful boogers. I hit his schnoz with a shot of saline mist in each nostril first to loosen things up, he'll usually give a couple of sneezes, then I suck away...
My baby was a little over three months when I started using the Nosefrida, and I've had no problem with him accepting it.
A "must have" in my book at this point.

Summary: Works but my baby is not a fan 2010-05-11
Comment: I have to say that this works 100x better than a bulb sucker. It would be prefect if my kid didn't hate it so much, but I don't know that anyone has a product that will fix that. I have found that short, quick, successive sucks work better for us most of the time and seem to bother him less. The Nosefrida only does about 85% of the job though. After I have the booger to the edge of his nostril I usually have to use a tissue to finish the job.
Bottom line, nose cleaning can be unpleasant, but at least I actually getting his nose clean with this rather than just torturing him with a bulb sucker.

Summary: Much better than bulb syringe 2010-04-14
Comment: My newborn has had several bouts of nasal congestion. I was using saline nasal spray and the bulb syringe from the hospital to try to clear out her nose. I never was able to get much out with the bulb syringe though. When I heard about the Nosefrida, I ordered it right away. I absolutely love it. I get so much more out of my daughter's nose than with the bulb syringe. And I like that you don't stick it inside their nose so you don't have to worry about damaging their nasal tissue. The idea that you create the suction with your mouth sounds weird at first, but it really works! And baby doesn't fuss as much since you're not sticking something up their nose. My daughter even smiles sometimes when I use it on her! Every parent should have one of these!

Summary: My baby hates it 2010-04-02
Comment: I got this product for my 5 months old when she developed a cold. I cant argue with the fact that it cleans the nose very well-better than any nasal bulb. But, she is terrified of it and becomes very agitated when we put it next to her nose. She used to be fine with me using saline spray to clean her nose prior to me using the nosefrida on her, now she doesnt let me come near her nose at all!
