Miss Jessie is OK but it is very expensive. There are more products that will give you better results. Before purchasing this product check out mixed roots curl pudding. You pay $14 for the mixed roots product and receive more for your money.

Miss Jessie should consider lowering her prices or provide more product. You can get some of the same results with gel. Believe me, I know. I have been natural for 3 years.

This product is really a great thing for naturals to try. It provides excellent slip, definition, and hold on wet two strand twists. It's not perfect. But what product is perfect? The secret to making this work well is a bonus: try to use it as sparingly as you can because if you use too much, you will see flakes. Also, another product with more weight/moisture is needed to complement the Meringue, in my opinion. So, that's exactly what I do. I've complemented it with Frederic Fekkai's piecing and forming wax (super for twist definition and style longevity); with Carol's Daughter's Mimosa Hair Honey (a little too much on the oily side, but great for sheen and maintaining separation between individual twists when they are taken out); and with random butters that I have mixed.

I bought the meringue by mistake instead of the pudding. I decided to try it since it was lighter. I used it to double strand twist my own hair. (at the time I had natural chin length kinky-curly hair). It added to my time under the dryer by about 10-15 minutes, but the twists came out very nice. When i untwisted my hair i got a beautiful, more curly twisty fro...with flakes. The next time i used a bit less, got no flakes but not as much definition. After about 5 times of using the meringue i perfected it, but stopped using the meringue. Now when i want twists or a crinkly 'fro i just use some shea butter hair creme. I found shea butter oil does just as good for moisturizing my hair.
