New Detangler Does NOT Detangle, December 30, 2009

The picture shown looks like the old detangler bottle, which was a great product we used for over 20 years on our children's part-black very curly hair. The "New and Improved" formula is terrible though and doesn't detangle at all, rather it just sits on the hair and actually feels a little more drying. I've written J&J, as well as Walmart and KMart (their brands seem to follow the same formula) notifying them their products no longer work. I'm just hoping if I start writing more reviews on the product, the manufacturer will see them and bring back the old formula that worked great. The new one is missing what ever made it slippery-I will not buy it anymore as it no longer works.

I am very happy with this product. I chose this product because it has good rating from Environmental Working Group (EWG). Too many products in today's market are laden with chemicals that can be harmful to our health. This product works well on my daughter's very long hair, making it easier to brush. I do not find any trouble with the bottle design.
