Just and FYI that even though the picture shows an old bottle, they are selling the "New and Improved" formula.

We used Johnson & Johnson's Bedtime Lotion last night with our 2-month old girl, and immediately after putting it on, she started screaming. She doesn't normally cry, so this alarmed us. We tried Johnson's Bedtime Lotion again tonight to see if it was actually the lotion that caused this reaction and once again she immediately started screaming uncontrollably. We immediately washed the lotion off with warm water and plan to contact Johnson & Johnson to see if they have seen any similar results in their product testing.

I try to use as many paraben free products as possible and unfortunately this is one of such products. However, it smells really nice, it does not have a strong odor that some people have pointed out in their reviews, I guess it depends on how sensitive you are to smells, but I consider myself pretty sensitive and do not find this one to be overly smelly. It does help the baby fall asleep faster, but does not make the baby have a worry free night sleep if that's what you are looking for. All in all, I only use when I want the baby to fall asleep faster, but try not to use too much because of it ingredients and I use Avalon organics lotion on a regular basis instead which has no odor.
