Product Review
Product Description
No more tears. As gentle to eyes as pure water. What could be more delicate than a newborn baby's hair and skin? The eyes. Newborns do not have normal tear secretions to protect their eyes from irritants. That's why they need a very special shampoo. Extra

1.0 out of 5 stars Contains quaternium-15, a known carcinogen, November 1, 2011
By
Lianna C. (Los Angeles, CA USA) - See all my reviews
Have used Johnson's baby shampoo and body wash since I gave birth to my daughter. When I found out that Johnson&Johnson's have used a toxic ingredient in their products knowing that it was a possible carcinogen, I have stopped using all their products.

Contains the formaldehyde-releasing preservative quaternium-15, as well as the chemical byproduct 1,4-dioxane. Formaldehyde and 1,4-dioxane are known carcinogens. The federal Consumer Product Safety Commission has reported that "the presence of 1,4-dioxane, even as a trace contaminant, is cause for concern," and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services added formaldehyde to its list of known human carcinogens in June 2011.

1.0 out of 5 stars Nightly News discussed the chemicals used in this shampoo..., November 9, 2011

Keep in mind that whatever you put on your skin, it will absorb into your skin, and therefore your body is absorbing a lot of very harmful chemicals. But they specifically said that this particular baby shampoo, Johnson's Baby Shampoo, (take note of the ingredients list under Important Information listed above) This BABY shampoo has what you call Quaternium-15 Now for those that don't know what this is, it releases formaldehyde which is what is used to embalm people with when they die. I have received other notifications regarding this lately and I will make sure that this product is NOT used on MY new baby Grandson. I will definitely spend the extra money to buy Organic and make sure that any products that are absorbed into the skin do not have products with parabens, oxybenzone,...Read more
