DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS. Biggest piece of junk I ever purchased for my daughter. My daughter was suffering from a runny/stuffy nose and could not breathe during breast feeding. I picked up this Safety First Hospital's Choice Nasal Aspirator at the local drug store. Unfortunately that was a mistake. The bulb syringe is made up of a hard plastic, that has a foul smell to it. Even after washing it before the initial use, the material still smelled-- like the kind you get from a vinyl figurine that's been in storage for years... Then when it came time to use it, you press in the bulb, and it stayed pushed in! The plastic was too hard to create any type of suction what so ever. I tried to soak it in hot water for 5 minutes to get the bulb area malleable but it only work for about 5 seconds before the rubber started to get hard again. I am still searching for a good nasal aspirator, and this is not it. I couldn't get ANYTHING out of my baby's nose using this bulb. The hole is too small and the rubber is too stiff. I can't believe this product is still on the market.

This is one time where you want the product to suck (mucous). I agree with the other reviewer who notes that this bulb collapses when squeezed, not at all like the one from the hospital, which is thicker. We got this as a backup for the diaper bag, and have found it to be useless.
