I have an 8 month old that loves fruit. The side effects to that is pretty bad perianal dermatitis. We have tried everything from california baby to destin to eucerin to zinc oxide. Nothing got rid of it.. So far we have used dr smiths diaper cream for 2 days and his rash is almost healed. Even after the first use I noticed a big difference. I will continue to use this product on a daily basis. I'm so happy we have finally found a product that works.

We've used this since our 1 year old was born. We've tried the other brands, but Dr. Smith's clears up his rash in usually about a day, compared to a few days for the others. You'll end up using less diaper cream with Dr. Smith's and probably end up saving money in the long run!

Mommy and I have used this on our son's bottom since he was a few months old after our pediatrician recommended it. We squeeze out 1 or 2 centimeters onto a finger and apply it each night. He is still in diapers at 27 months and we still use it every night after bath and before bed. He rarely gets a rash. When he does get a rash, Dr. smith's typically clears it up overnight. Very rarely it has taken up to three overnights to clear up a very bad rash.

Compared to Desitin I choose Dr. Smith's hands down. We tried Desitin when he was a newborn and noted rashes lasting for more than three days. When we told our pediatrician, she suggested Dr. Smith's. We also like the consistency of Dr. smith's over Desitin.

I highly recommend the tube versus the tub. I have found the tub to be less expensive than the tube, but it is also messier and we are not about to double dip so multiple fingers get involved with the tub. I also dislike getting the diaper cream under my...Read more
