Disney Bath Tub Mat - Faries

Bought this and unwrapped it only to be overcome with a terrible smell- thought if I scrubbed it if would fade- nope- still bad after a week.... back it goes!

I recently bought the princess mat for my 11 month old. She absolutely loves it and squealed with delight when she saw it. I haven't yet experienced the pictures peeling off, though I will keep an eye out for that problem.

I was surprised to see that the pictures are raised. I was afraid they would be uncomfortable for my daughter to sit on (I figured they would leave little princess imprints on her backside), but it doesn't seem to bother her one bit. Of course, she likes to move around a lot in the bathtub which means she's never sitting in one place for very long.

I have to say I really like that there are so many suction cups on the bottom of the mat. Many other mats out there have larger (and fewer) suction cups. With so many suction cups on this mat, it stays in place very well. I haven't had any problems with slippage.

I thought this mat would make the tub a safer place for my baby. It did at first, but then the Cars pictures started to come off. I would notice while I was giving my child a bath that the pictures would be half off the mat. My child would notice and pull the picture completely off. Yes it does make the tub not so slippery but now I have to watch to make sure my child doesn't eat the pictures! I purchased this one because my child likes Cars but I should have bought the cheaper one without any pictures on it since I only have a few pictures left on it. We are very disappointed.
