My husband and I wash our hands all day every day due to our respective jobs. In the winter, our hands start to crack and bleed. We put Desitin on our hands (especially in the cracks) overnight. It really speeds up healing! The zinc oxide is antibacterial also. I don't care what it smells like. The relief is worth the smell!

We've used this since my girls(about to turn 1) have been born. There have only been a very few times that they've gotten diaper rash or irritated that lasted more than 1 changing thanks to Desitin.
There was a time when one of my daughters was around 1 month and I had eaten something spicy not thinking it would really affect her breast milk. Boy was I wrong. Even though we changed her diaper right after she poo'd her butt was bright red, it looked like a bad sunburn. I covered her tiny little butt with Desitin Creamy & then topped that with Desitin Original. If you smear on the Creamy first, the Original will smear on even better. By her next diaper change her butt was already getting better and by the next day it was completely cleared up. (no more spicy food for Mommy!)
There have been several times where my girls have gotten diarrhea for a day or several days so no matter how quickly we changed their diapers their little butts would get a little irritated...Read more

This stuff clears up a diaper rash right away. I was told Triple Paste was better, but I don't agree-it's about the same. Use this at the first sign of a rash, or even if the rash has gotten a little bad. Don't wait until it's gotten really bad, for that you might need a prescription. Triple paste didn't help us with a very bad rash. Also, remember that the friction from diaper wipes can make rashes worse, so rinse the little bottom instead of using wipes.
