Ever since Burt's Bees eliminated comfrey from their formula and it quit working for our family, this has been the best ointment I've used. It cleared up a stubborn rash that the Burt's ointment couldn't touch. So, while I wish it was a little thicker, and the hydrogenated oil isn't something I would eat (edibility is a requirement for personal care products in this house) this is the go-to ointment for me, now.

This is a very good product that works well for diaper rash. We tried Desitin Creamy first because it was cheaper, but far from being creamy, it was quite pasty and seemed to actually make things worse because the pastiness was irritating. I recommend generic A&D ointment (basically vaseline plus cod liver oil)--that seems to help the baby's bottom's skin stay really healthy, and it's a good moisture barrier. That's the best thing in general or if the diaper area is just starting to show signs of redness. But if there's a real diaper rash, the Boudreaux's buttpaste is great. It often clears it up very fast. I wish it were less pasty and that it soaked in like the a & d ointment, but this stuff is better (quicker) at getting rid of actual diaper rash. It's worth the money. I haven't tried the regular (only the natural/creamy in the green instead of yellow...Read more

this product is excellent!! we had been using desitin with our first daughter and it just seemed like when we put it on it would burn her. we were at a loss because sometimes she needed diaper cream but not if it burned her. this was recommended to us and we loved it from the first use! it does not burn and it works like a charm! it is really good. it is a little bit expensive, but you cant really put a price on your baby's comfort!
